Hey there, thanks for looking at my work!
I’ve been a New York City advertising photographer since I graduated from the University of Miami in the 80’s. Originally I wanted to shoot fashion (I was in my 20’s and male...enough said). Instead, I fell in love with the intricacies of lighting and craftsmanship in large format film for still-life photography (go figure). I built my career around that love and was lucky as hell to do that for many years.
However, as my life changed (got married, moved to the burbs, had two girls) and photography changed (the onslaught of digital), my work changed too. I had a new love—shooting people (with a camera, of course). I shot all kinds of people as often as I could, and soon became known for capturing exceptionally candid moments.
Over the years I have won many awards for my work, most recently a 2010 APA Lifestyle Photography Award—a real honor for me.
When I’m not behind the camera–either on location or in my NYC studio–you can find me riding my bicycle, motorcycle, or flying one of my radio-controlled aircrafts.
Thanks again for looking! Give us a call if you need any help for your projects.
Cheers, Steve.
